New elementary school, Deux-Montagnes
Deux-Montagnes, A new elementary school will be built in Deux-Montagnes, at the far end of the Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes site, accessible via Beaudoin Street. This construction project, which will begin in September 2024, will take two years to complete and aims to meet the growing needs of the local population. Groupe CIBS has won the bid to lead this new construction, bringing its recognized expertise in large-scale projects.
The new building will have two floors, housing 30 modern classrooms and a double gymnasium. In addition to the indoor facilities, special attention will be given to the outdoor areas. The landscaped yard will feature playgrounds and relaxation areas, with small paths allowing students to stretch their legs during breaks.
Initially, this new school will temporarily accommodate students from the area while major renovations take place in their current schools. Eventually, it will permanently welcome its own students, thus enhancing the region’s educational offerings.
Start of construction: 2024 Expected opening: 2026
